Executive Summary:
After examining the situation regarding the terrorist attacks on Incirlik Air Base, The Islamic Republic of Iran has decided that it would be best for Iran to not interfere and tamper with the situation at hand.
Key Points:
* Causes of Tension: It is clear that the United States is the cause for most of the tension in the Middle East. The attack on Incirlik was carried out because of the 90 American nuclear missiles housed there. A Hezbollah spokesman said that “Nuclear weapons are ours for the taking … if not already from Incirlik this week, then very soon”. The United States must stop interfering in the affairs of sovereign Middle Eastern nations.
* The Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty: We have and will insist on not signing on to this treaty. The treaty shows the hypocrisy in the United States, they want other nations to never acquire nuclear weapons, and meanwhile the United States is allowed to have thousands of nukes in its arsenal. As stated the in a speech given to the United Nations just several days ago, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that " the government of the US has not only used nuclear weapons, but also continues to threaten to use such weapons against other countries, including Iran”. It is unfair that the US and the other western nations are trying to scare us into signing on to the treaty, while Israel a country that actually has nuclear weapons is yet to agree to the treaty.
* In Our Defense: As we stated before at the UN Meeting, we do not condone of these attacks. We are shocked to hear that Hezbollah was the organization that carried these attacks out. While we do indeed provide minimal funding for the group we did not expect them to carry out an attack like this. We mainly fund Hezbollah because we believe that the cause they are fighting for is a righteous cause. As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated before Israel "is an illegitimate regime, there is no legal basis for its existence". It is unfair that the Palestinians were kicked out of their own land and the Jews were allowed to take it. We fund Hezbollah because of the fight against Israel We have no problems with Turkey and hope that this will not hurt our alliance.
* The Action to be Taken: We believe that another country interfering with the situation can only make it worse. Therefore we will let Turkey handle this situation on its own.
